Our Team
Our First Impressions team is made up of over 20 dental technicians with an overall combined 248 years of technical experience. We believe in creating quality products that demonstrate the level of skill and craftsmanship put into each case.
Although our products have fast turnaround times, we do not cut corners and instead produce 100% in-house. We invest our resources into researching and using the most current dental technologies, such as injection based removables, zirconia milling machines, etc. This gives our team, company, and brand the pride that is seen in our work.

Communication is a key piece to providing the best experience and fastest chair-time for you. We possess the local touch and fast response for any of your needs or questions. Our team also includes 4 Certified Dental Technicians to aid in any part of your cases.

Jon Younce was born and raised in Lenoir, NC. He moved to Durham, NC to attend the Dental Laboratory Program. He went on to graduate from Durham Tech in 1988 where he earned his Dental Laboratory Technician degree.
In 1999, after working in several labs across North Carolina, Jon opened First Impressions Dental Laboratory in his hometown of Lenoir.

His friendly and helpful attitude, along with his team of diverse dental technicians, has attracted many doctors to
First Impressions. This has allowed his business to grow and maintain relationships through the years. Jon believes that taking the time to listen to doctors and their needs provides the personal touch that sets First Impressions apart from other labs.

Jon enjoys spending time with his family; playing disc golf, shooting sporting clays, and enjoying time at the lake. He also enjoys staying active with his life group and church at Harvest Bible Chapel of Hickory.
